O
ne of our regular customers T. C Wild Ltd were in the market for a new Webster and Bennett borer and ended up buying one 12 tonne one in an online auction at Birmingham. Unfortunately before buying machinery on line you must view or even find out the lay out of the premises and how the access affects the removal in which our customer didn’t. In this particular case the machines were position in a building over 20 years ago and since then, other buildings had been built around them, which meant, the only access to the machines was an 8 foot by 7 foot doorway for the borers to exit.
M. D. Wright Machinery Removals Ltd had the ability to foresee and solve this problem through experience of project planning and problem solving, as is explained below.
Having skated the Webster and Bennett to the door way, we had to lay it on its side and skate it through the door, once the base of the machine was out side we were able to tandem lift it out with the lorry mounted crane and versa lift. Once it was out we could then up right it and load onto transport.
